Laguiole cutlery was first produced in 1829, in the small town of Laguiole in the Aveyron region of France. It is handmade by craftsmen whose skills have been passed from generation to generation. The bumble bee found on all Laguiole knives is one of the emblems of the region where they are made. Laguiole is not a brand as such, but rather a classic design, tradition and symbol of fine craftsmanship.
Established in 1857, Andre Verdier is one of France’s oldest and most respected cutlery manufacturers. Each item is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity to ensure peace of mind that this product is entirely made to the high standards required to carry the traditions of the Laguiole region. This 23 cm red cheese knife is presented beautifully in a wooden box.
Hand made in France using high grade stainless steel (X46CR13).
